Time and Tide Wait For None

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "Time and Tide Wait For None".

Time and tide wait for none is a famous adage known by all. Google, in fact, defines it to be "if you don’t make use of a favorable opportunity, you may never get the same chance again."

This is a phrase that thus has similar connotations to the proverb "make hay while the sun shines." That is, it reiterates the value of time.

If one were to be lazy and not make proper use of the time that is available to them at the present, then in the future, they would surely regret letting the time go to waste. This is elaborated by comparing time with tide wherein both are said to move on whether or not human beings want it to or not. Time is thus regarded akin to a force of nature.

Thank you.

Unemployment

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "Unemployment".

Google simply defines the term "unemployment" to be "the state of being unemployed." Wikipedia, on the other hand, gives a much more detailed explanation. It states as follows: "Unemployment, according to the OECD, is people above a specified age not being in paid employment or self-employment but currently available for work during the reference period. Unemployment is measured by the unemployment rate, which is the number of people who are unemployed as a percentage of the labor force."

Broadly speaking, unemployment can be classified into 10 different categories. Namely, they are Cyclical Unemployment, Frictional Unemployment, Structural Unemployment, Natural Unemployment, Long-Term Unemployment, Seasonal Unemployment, Classical Unemployment, Underemployment, Regional Unemployment, and Voluntary Unemployment. Again, Disguised Unemployment can also be taken as a form of unemployment, often seen in farms and rural areas.

Trying is Better Than Crying

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "Trying is better than Crying".

It is integral to understand that life is filled with ups and downs. As likely we are to attain success, so will we attain failure. Thus, there is no point in crying over it. Why cry over spilt milk? Really, crying over anything is futile!

Instead, we can try again, try for the better. Trying is a better alternative to take than sitting idly and crying fruitlessly. To try once again is one more shot to attain the success we must have previously wanted and not gotten. This time, we just might!

Again, crying over regrets is just as futile. Either try to rectify whatever mistake you have made or try to make the situation better!

Remember, crying will never be the solution. Keep trying and do not give up hope!

Thank you.

Truthfulness

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "Truthfulness".

Truthfulness is a term that is pretty self-explanatory in nature. Google defines the term "truthful" or "truthfulness" to be "telling or expressing the truth; honest."

Yes, being truthful is synonymous with being honest. Truthfulness is thus a virtue we must all strive to possess.

Lying and being dishonest might seem advantageous a lot of times in life. It is, after all, to take the easier way out and avoid unpleasant difficulties. However, it is important to remember that truth is not one that hides forever and will one day surely come to light and be even more unpleasant. It is always wise to be truthful and maintain integrity.

A person who possesses truthfulness will always be respected and regarded highly in society. Mahatma Gandhi is one such person who stands testimony to this fact and has said "There is no God higher than truth."

Be truthful!

Thank you.

Waste Management

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "Waste Management".

Waste management, as the name clearly reveals, involves the management of waste. Wikipedia, in fact, defines the term as follows: "Waste management or waste disposal includes the processes and actions required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal."

Waste management thus involves the processes of waste collection, transportation, processing, as well as waste recycling or disposal.

There are several types of waste management. Broadly, they have been classified into 6 categories. Namely, they are Landfill, Incineration, Waste Compaction, Biogas Generation, Composting, and Vermicomposting.

Waste Management can be achieved by following the 3 "R"s. The 3 Rs of waste management are "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle." This will result in mimalization of waste and induce ways to efficiently make it productively useful as well.

Manage your waste properly so as to not let diseases and infections spread!

Thank you.

Volcano

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today I'll give a short speech on the topic of "Volcano".

Google defines the term as "a mountain or hill, typically conical, having a crater or vent through which lava, rock fragments, hot vapor, and gas are or have been erupted from the earth’s crust."

Wikipedia offers some more insight into this. It states as follows: "A volcano is a rupture in the crust of a planetary-mass object, such as Earth, that allows hot lava, volcanic ash, and gases to escape from a magma chamber below the surface. On Earth, volcanoes are most often found where tectonic plates are diverging or converging, and most are found underwater."

In layman's terms, a volcano is a natural calamity that leads to dire consequences which include loss of life and property. Indonesia is the most prone to volcanic eruptions in the world and is known as the "Pacific Ring of Fire". Its 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora is the most powerful in history.

Thank you.

Punctuality

Punctuality is such an important characteristic in life. Punctuality means to be on time with yourself and your work affairs.

When a person is punctual, he or she is respected and looked to. We save so much time when we are punctual. We can also do a lot when we are punctual. This is a habit that should be formed when we are kids. It helps us a long way in all life affairs.

We should try and teach others like our family members or friends or colleagues or anyone we meet about the importance of punctuality." When we are punctual we learn a lot about what we need to prioritize in life, we can be practical with our goals and achievements and all in all we can be efficient with the stuff we use, the time and the effort of others. It makes us learn the most important lesson of life which is time. We value people’s time and at the same time we expect people to value our time. This is a habit that all of us must try to put into our lifestyle."
