Natural Disaster
Good morning to our respected Principal, teachers and my fellow schoolmates. Today on this special occasion, I would like to speak on the topic- Natural disaster.
We all know that a natural disaster is an unforeseen occurrence of an event in society that causes harm in society. There are many natural disasters that affect our environment such as earthquakes, cyclones, Tsunami, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, etc.
Over these past years, natural disasters have been seen around the world taking the lives of many people in the world. People have been losing their friends, property, relatives, shelter, etc. For example, a tsunami in 2004, Earthquake in Pakistan in 2005, and the Haiti Earthquake in 2010.
It is an inevitable event that affects our environment. It has a long history of occurrence that cannot be predicted nor it can be avoided. But having full knowledge about a disaster can help us control the losses if we are fully prepared for it.
In some countries, there are disaster management cells that are functional. There are recovery plans for disasters too. Then there are people in the country that come forward to help the affected people. Disaster management has also become a part of the school syllabus now. All these are helpful in minimizing the losses from a natural disaster.
Basically, awareness of a disaster is the key! Other than this requirement for successful disaster management activity is cooperation by the affected people. Monitoring is also important after the measures as affected people settlement may take years.
In the end, I would like to add that we should take as many precautions as we can for any and every natural disaster happening in the world. We should also study them for better preparedness and take the necessary steps to stay safe.

Internet
Good morning! Respected Principal, teachers and my dear companions. I stand before you to speak on the topic Internet. As we all know that the internet has become part and parcel of our lives and we can't imagine our lives without it.
The Internet connects the local with the global. We can have access to everything with just one click of the button. Gone the old days when people used to wait for years to see their love ones. With the coming up internet, it has made video calling so easy and efficient.
Internet is a massive interconnection of networks and has spread its wings with technological advancement. Just as a coin has two sides, the internet also has many advantages and disadvantages.
The Internet has global access to data and communications. It helps in sharing of the information worldwide. Many web pages are created by the people, it not only generates business but also provides limitless information and enhances our knowledge. However, this has negative aspects as well. We do have hackers in our society who hack information off the web pages to fill their own pockets.
As we all know that excess of everything is bad. One should not be totally dependent on the internet because there is a lot of wrong information on the internet.
One should not get addicted to the internet. It is really sad to see that people have stopped using their minds with the coming up of the internet.
The need of the hour is that parents should not allow children to use it behind their back as it has many sites not suitable for children, whose advertisement just pop-ups on any page.
Also, there is a need to beware of hackers before using our personal and important information or bank details. Antivirus is a must for each and every computer.

Soldier
Honoured Chief guests, Principal, teachers, and fellow classmates. A warm welcome to all of you. Today on this special occasion we all have gathered here to celebrate a day of remembrance for our soldiers. I would like to speak a few words about soldiers.
For many of us, it doesn't really matter what our soldiers do as we cannot see what they are doing, and what they have sacrificed. Let me share with you this today that being a soldier is not an easy task.
Soldiers sacrifice a lot for the people of their country. They think about the country first and then about themselves, their families, home and loved ones. For them, the love for their country and motherland is much more important than anything else.
We can sleep peacefully because they are there to fight on the borders and protect us. Trust me, a soldiers job is one of the toughest things to do in the world. They have challenging duties and toughest qualities that make them a great soldier.
A soldier performs numerous duties. They safeguard the honour of the country. They have to be alert all the times and they are never off the duty. It's their duty to maintain peace and harmony in the country. They are responsible for guarding the borders.
They face a lot of challenges in life. The biggest challenge is to stay away from their families. This affects them emotionally too. They do not even get a chance to celebrate festivals with their loved ones as they do not get enough holidays.
Another challenge is the rigorous training they have to undergo to become fit in order to fight battles. This becomes exhausting, and physically challenging too.
They have to be out in the battlefield even in the worst of weather conditions. Their duty is such that heavy rains or scorching sun, it doesn't matter.
I think we should always respect our soldier's efforts in protecting us and safeguarding our country. Their hard work should never be forgotten.

Computer
Respected Principal, teachers and my dear classmates. A wonderful morning to all of you. Today we all have gathered here to celebrate this day, I would like to speak a few words on – "Computer".
Needless to say how the computer has become an important part of our everyday life. Can we imagine our lives without it? I am sure the answer will be no!
Offices, schools, hospitals, governmental organizations, and non- governmental organizations, all are incomplete without it. Our work whether its school homework or office work or mother's household work, all is dependent on the computer.
It has various uses. The medical field uses a computer to diagnose diseases. So far, they are able to find a cure for various diseases due to this computer. Even in the field of research, computers have brought a lot of changes. Whether its scientific research, social research, or space research, computers have helped in all of them. They have helped to keep a check on the environment, society, and space.
Computers have also contributed to the most important sector of a country, i.e, defense. It helps the country's security agencies to detect a threat that can be harmful in the future. The defense industry also uses to keep surveillance on our enemy.
A computer has many advantages, as I mentioned earlier but there is nothing in this world which has no disadvantages. Even computer which has become so important for us has disadvantaged such as hackers can steal the data and release it on the internet. Anyone can access this data.
Apart from this threat, there are other threats too. Such as threats like viruses, spams, bugs, etc. It has become an addiction too for many people. Even students spend a lot of their time sitting in front of computer screen playing games and watching movies.
We need to remind ourselves that excess of everything is bad. We should try and limit its use as it's excessive use can be harmful to our eyes, back, brain and can lead to various problems too.
In the end, I would like to add that it is a boon and we can stop it to become bane if we use it cautiously. Thank you for lending me your ears.

Traffic Rule
Respected Principal, teachers and my dear classmates. A wonderful morning to all of you. Today we all have gathered here to celebrate this day, I would like to speak a few words on – "Traffic Rule".
We all know that traffic rules provide systematic and controlled measures that a person needs to take on the road for safety reaching his or her destination.
Road safety is very important and there are some prime traffic rules that need to be followed. Let me remind you of some on this occasion as you all are responsible citizens of our country, and believes in safety first:
We should not apply brakes all of a sudden. Applying breaks all of a sudden leads to an abrupt stops. As vehicle can get a jerk which often leads to an injury.
A helmet plays a greater role in avoiding any kind of head injury during a ride on a scooter, bike or any two-wheeler. The relaxation is only provided to Sikhs as they wear turbans as their religious symbol.
Using the horn carefully is another important thing. We should not underuse or overuse it. Overusing can lead to noise pollution so use it whenever it is necessary.
We should always follow the police officers' directions and traffic signals. We should not risk our lives by working against them. Thus, we must follow the same.
Traffic rules are made for the protection of the drivers. The driving tests are also conducted keeping in mind the same purpose. Knowledge of traffic signs is also necessary.
Responsible driving is very important and hence there is a need to inculcate healthy habits too. There is a need to give up drinking as drinking and driving is risky and considered as a crime.
In the end, I would request you to be a responsible driver and a citizen too for the sake of our own safety and other people on the road.
