World Health Day

Good morning teachers, students and my dear friends.

We all are gathered here to celebrate world health day. I am happy to present a speech on world health day. I hope you all will like it.

World health organization celebrates global health day every year on 7th April worldwide. For the first time, it was celebrated in the year 1950. It is celebrated to create awareness about the benefits of being healthy. There are various kinds of diseases from which people suffer and hence there is a need to spread awareness.

World health organization was formed in 1948 in Geneva. On 7th April the world health assembly was held for the first time and it was decided to celebrate 7th April as world health day. Various events are organized on this day by the who with a particular theme. The theme of 2020 is ‘Support Nurses and Midwives’.

This day is celebrated worldwide by the government of all the participant countries NGOs and other organizations. This day basically acts as a reminder to the people about the various major health issues around the earth.

But are we using this reminder to alert ourselves we often ignore our health thinking paying more attention to other things around us? But we need to understand that health is wealth. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind and a healthy mind has the capability to improve and grow.

On this world health day, I would urge you all to pay attention to your health. Take some time out in a day to exercise. Adopt healthy eating habits. Try to eat home-cooked meals as often as possible. Avoid junk food available in restaurants.

I hope this world health day we all will adopt some good habits related to our health.

Thank you for lending me your years and listening to me patiently.

Positive Attitude

Respected Principal, teachers, and friends. Very good morning to all of you. On this occasion of the annual day, I would like to speak on the topic – Positive Attitude. I would like to spread some positive vibes with the help of my speech.

A positive attitude is a thought process or a mindset based on positive thinking. It is that kind of attitude that focusses on the bright side of life. It can be easily recognized in a person's speech as such people use terms like "it's possible", "I can", etc.

Why is it important to have a positive attitude? Have you ever thought about it?

A positive attitude is very important to stay happy in life. We become what we think. If we have a positive attitude, we can handle difficult situations in life. Our road to success will be easy as a positive attitude helps to get motivation. It takes a positive attitude to achieve positive results in life.

The opposite of a positive attitude is a negative attitude. The negative attitude is very harmful to us. It affects our thought process badly. It can lead to diseases like anxiety, stress, depression and even high blood pressure due to negative thinking.

A positive attitude is not easy to achieve. But it is not impossible. It takes some effort. You cannot simply stop being negative. The first step is to replace your negative thoughts with positive ones. Another step is to write down the things you are grateful for in life. One should do this exercise daily.

We all should be grateful for the things we have. There is always something to be grateful for. For example, the food we eat, the beautiful sunrise, the shelter over our head, good clothes we wear, etc.

I would request you all to be positive and spread positivity around.

Have a positive and happy day.

Thank you.

My School

Good Morning respected principal, teachers and my dear friends.

Today on this special occasion, I will be presenting a speech on – "My School".

Can we really imagine our lives without school?

School is a very special place where we all learn, play and grow together. It is just like our second home. Imagine how dull our lives would be if there were no schools. I consider my school as a temple of learning.

It has taught me to differentiate between right and wrong, to enjoy what I read, the importance of education and learning, to be kind, to respect my elders, to love my friends, to be grateful for everything, etc. My school has given me so much.

My school is not only best in making us a learned person but also in all the fields. There are endless extra-curricular activities in my school. From art and craft to cooking. My school has provided me with all the opportunities to learn and grow.

I think no school has better sports culture than ours. Our school students do exceptionally well in inter-school competitions and at the international level competitions. I believe we are very lucky to be a part of this school.

Who would not like to stay forever in a school like ours?

We have picnics, field visits, foreign trips, historical places visits, etc. Our school makes each day full of excitement for us.

Lastly, I would like to thank all my teachers and staff who worked together to create a friendly, safe and complete environment for our growth. You made our journey of learning, easy and funfilled. My school became a special place because of you all.

Thank you for lending me your ears.

Social Media

Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends.

Very good morning to all of you. Today I am going to speak on the topic- Social Media.

The reason I chose this topic because of the growing popularity of social media.

As we all know that social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Whatsapp are gaining importance these days as they are connecting people worldwide with just a click of a button.

If we look at the positive impact of social media, there are various advantages. One of the major advantages of social media is that it is full of information and helps in providing education. For example, children approach social media to get information on the desired topic.

It is a great device for education. It has made live education possible. We can attend a lecture happening in some other part of the world by just sitting in front of a screen in our country.

Isn't it great?

Social media is also very convenient to stay updated about what is happening around us. We don't need to wait for a newspaper to give us information. There are various news-related applications that can instantly update us about any serious happening around us.

Social media has also created opportunities for people such as to show their talent. It is also great for advertisements. But despite being so many benefits, it has been criticized. It has disadvantages too.

It is also considered as one of the harmful elements of society. The oversharing on social media can be dangerous. It can attack our privacy. Also, overusing leads to spending too much time on social media which can deviate children from their studies. Sometimes fake news is also spread with its help disturbing the people.

In short, social media has its advantages and disadvantages. It is up to us how we use it. Use it wisely!

Thank you.

International Labour Day

Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends.

Very good morning to all of you.

I am very happy that we all have gathered today to celebrate labour day. I am going to present a speech on Labour day today.

Labour Day Or May Day Is Dedicated to Workers

Labour day which is celebrated on 1st May every year is also known as Mayday or International worker's day.

It has originated from the United States labour union movement in the 19th century, particularly eight-hour day movement which advocated eight hours of work per day.

In the late 19th century, the working conditions of people were very bad as they had to work 12-16 hours per day. The working conditions were very unsafe and severe.

In 1886, 1st May various labour unions across the US went on strike. They demanded eight hours of work in a day. After a few days, there was bloodshed and a lot of people injured because a revolutionist threw a bomb in the market. It was after 5 years this day was recognized as a holiday by a social organization.

This day is celebrated worldwide to pay tribute to the contributions of workers and their social and economic achievements. It is a day for them to feel respected for the work they do and the time they contribute to do so. It is to motivate them and to tell them that their needs and rights are in focus.

I think we should appreciate the worker's efforts and their contribution to society. We all know that they work really hard for minimum pay. We should encourage their hard work.

Thank you for lending me your ears.
