Speeches on Health is Wealth, Blood Donation, Women’s Empowerment, Natural Resources & Sports day
Health is Wealth
Good morning Principal, teachers, and my dear friends.
Today I am here to give a speech on the topic- Health is wealth.
We often hear this phrase health is wealth. A person who has good health is considered a wealthy person because it is believed that who has health has everything.
If a person is ill, he or she cannot enjoy many things in life.
He /she will not feel good internally. Such people are always worried due to their physical complications.
Health is very important. Everyone wants freedom from sickness and disease. There are various means with the help of which one can be healthy.
Firstly, every one of us should exercise daily. We can exercise in any form such as yoga, Zumba, sports, aerobics, etc. We should give at least 30 minutes a day to our bodies.
Secondly, eating healthy is as important as exercise.
Healthy food helps us to remain fit. These days we are indulging in a lot of junk food. It is very harmful to our health and does not have any nutrition. We should avoid food items that contain excessive sugar, salt or oil.
Thirdly, following a routine can also help us to stay fit. For example, sleeping on time, eating on time, exercising on time, etc. Sleeping late at night and eating not on time can badly affect our health.
Fourthly, reducing our screen time. We are living in a world of technology.
We use mobile phones, computers, tablets, laptops daily. These equipment are affecting our health. We should put a limit on the use of them.
These are some of the important points which we need to include in our daily routine in order to maintain our health and to stay away from medicines. A healthy lifestyle can protect us from many diseases. It also helps us to stay focused and succeed in life.
In short, we should always work to protect our real wealth which is health.
Thank you all of you.
Blood Donation
Good morning to our Principal, teachers, and guests.
I am here to present a speech on blood donation.
As we all know, blood is an important fluid that flows in our body. It is so important that if we lose excess of it from our body, we can die. But we are very lucky to have a blood transfusion process that can help save the lives of the people.
The lives can only be saved if we have enough blood for the transfusion. Hence, blood donation is the only medium that can help us. People around the world donate blood which helps treat people with ill- health.
There are various benefits of donating blood. It not only helps the receiver but also enhances the health of the donor. It revitalizes the body for better health.
One blood donation can benefit many people. A single donation can help at least three people in need. It also makes the work of blood banks easier.
Blood donation also helps us to know our bodies. Before blood donation, our bodies undergo various health check-ups such as iodine levels, blood glucose levels, blood pressure, etc. This way we get a complete diagnosis of the body.
Blood donation is so important that the world celebrates Blood donor day on 14th June every year. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about life-saving procedures and to promote blood donation.
The World Health Organization organizes the campaign that invites people to donate blood. Not everyone can donate blood. A person between the age bracket of 17-66 years can donate blood. He/she should weigh more than 50 kgs and should be healthy. People suffering from diseases like diabetes, hypertension, etc cannot donate blood.
With the said piece of information, I would request you all to donate blood more often. It can save many lives. Blood donation is our responsibility towards society.
Women’s Empowerment
Good morning honourable chief guest, Principal, teachers, and my dear friends. Today we all have gathered to celebrate women's day.
On this special occasion, I am honoured to present my speech on women empowerment.
We all know that women have suffered a lot over the years. In earlier times, they were considered as non-existent. They did not have voting rights. They could not make decisions for themselves on their own. They were dependent on men for everything.
But over time women realized their power and revolution of women empowerment began. Women empowerment means making women powerful and capable of making their own decisions.
The question is why there is a need for women empowerment?
A country needs a contribution of all its people to make progress. We cannot grow as a nation if only half of the population is educated and working. Women empowerment can reduce poverty and can provide a better chance for the next generation.
Each country has a history of ill-treatment of women and all of them realized the importance of women empowerment. Women can be empowered in many ways. Education for girls should be made compulsory, women should be given equal opportunities and equal pay at work, child marriage should be abolished from every part of the world, and many more things can be done.
Governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and women themselves are working for women empowerment. As a result, women have voting rights, equal participation, etc. Women are doing well in all areas of development.
In Pakistan, women are progressing but have safety concerns. There are security issues. Women empowerment does not only mean equal rights but also the safety of women. It is the duty of the nation to protect its every citizen. There is a need to pay attention to the security of women and respect them.
Natural Resources
Dear Principal, teachers and my dear friends.
We are gathered here on a special occasion. On this happy occasion, I would like to present my speech on an important topic of natural resources.
These valuable resources are exploited by us for our economic gain. We are overusing them and they are depleting. There is a need to understand that these resources are to fulfil our needs, not greed.
The natural resources are of two types, renewable natural resources, and non-renewable natural resources. Renewable natural resources are available in abundance and have the capability to renew. For example, water, wind, soil, etc.
But the non-renewable natural resources cannot be renewed. For example, petroleum, coal, natural gas, etc. We have limited of them.
There is a need to conserve our natural resources. These resources do not belong to us only. They belong to future generations too. We need to save them for our future generations to enjoy.
We should start using alternative forms of energy to save our natural resources. For example, we can use solar energy instead of electrical energy. We can also use biogas instead of overusing petroleum. We can also promote reducing, reusing, and recycling of natural resources.
We can conserve our natural resources in many other ways. We can plant more and more trees to save our forest resources. We can prevent the dumping of industrial wastes into water bodies. The burning of fossil fuels should be controlled.
As human beings, we have some social responsibility towards our planet and its resources. I would request you all to join hands for the conservation of our natural resources. If each one of us will work for conservation, we can build a better tomorrow with resources available for future generations.
Sports day
Good Morning everyone. I extend a warm welcome to our respected Principal, teachers, honourable chief guest and my dear friends. Today we are gathered here to celebrate our sports day.
We all love cheering for a cricket match on the television. We like playing badminton in a lane near our house. We also play various kinds of sports-based video games. This defines our love for sports.
Our school has a variety of sports such as basketball, football, badminton, cricket and swimming. We are encouraged to choose the sport of our choice and excel in that sport. This not only helps us with physical fitness but also gives us a career opportunity too.
Our school is one of the best in sports. Students from our school have played both at the national level as well as international level. We have won various medals including gold, silver and bronze in badminton. We have also received trophies in basketball and football.
For today also we have practised a lot and will be showing you all a number of matches and games. Before we begin, I would like to congratulate the sports staff of my school for putting in the effort and making this day possible.
I would request the parents to cheer and sit tight in their chairs for the efforts made by students. Here we begin our sports day.
