Save Tree
A very pleasant good morning to all of you! Today, I am here to present a short speech on the most important environmental concern, "Saving trees".
My dear wonderful audience, trees are the essence of our life. Can you think of your life without trees? Certainly, not. Human life is impossible without trees. They are the main source of our oxygen supply.
We almost get all the essentials from trees that are required for our survival. They not only give us food but also give us wood to build our houses, protect our soil from erosion, prevent global warming, maintain the weather and filter our air.
But what are we doing to them? Are we taking good care of them? No, we are cutting them without thinking about the future. If we will keep doing this, one day, there will be no trees left. Our earth will turn into a desert.
Saving trees can save our planet and also our future. If we don't want our future generations to land in the desert, then there are various ways we can save trees.
People should save trees. Preventing deforestation is the major step towards saving trees.
We should not only prevent deforestation but also promote afforestation. We should set our goal to plant trees on the piece of empty land. They should be planted in as many numbers as possible.
For each tree cut, we should plant three more trees. Then only we will be able to main the balance. It takes years for trees to grow tall. So regular plantation of trees is necessary.
It is not just a necessity but also our duty towards the environment and our future generations.
Lastly, I would like to say, "Save the trees, save the environment, save our future".
Thank you for your time and patience
Mother Teresa
Good morning to the respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. I am here to present a short speech on a great personality, "Mother Teresa".
Mother Teresa was a very religious woman. Her real name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. She was born on August 26, 1910, at Skopje. Her father was a businessman and her mother was a housewife.
She spent her day caring for people in need. She set up a Missionary of charity along with many homes for people in need. She spent a lot of time caring for the elderly, disabled and injured.
Mother Teresa had an interest in education. Soon after she became a nun, she began a charity work in which she taught and supported children from low-income families. She spent a lot of money on promoting literacy.
She won a lot of awards throughout her lifetime for her dedication to helping people in need. She won a Nobel peace prize in 1979 and considered a saint. Some more awards given to her were Pope John XXlll Peace Prize 1971, Nehru Prize for Promotion of International Peace & Understanding 1972, Balzan prize 1978, Nobel Peace Prize 1979, etc.
She became a famous woman and was also known as "Saint of the Gutters" or an "Angel". She was indeed one of the great servants of humanity. She passed away on 5th September 1997 but lives in our heart till date.
I think we should all take inspiration from her good deeds in life and try to help people to make this world a better place and it is not difficult as she rightly said, " if you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one".
Thank you, everyone, for listening.
Sports and Sportsmanship
Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends.
Very good morning to all of you. I am very glad to speak on the topic- Sports and sportsmanship today.
In a sports game, it is certainly not necessary that everyone will win in the end. Only one team wins and other losses. So a good sportsman is the one who appreciates the success of the winner by congratulating them and this way he/she shows good sportsmanship.
Different kinds of sports are not new to us like Horse riding, sword fighting, running, kabaddi, etc. It has always been a part of our history as an early civilization has also indulged in sports activities.
Sports and sportsmanship go hand in hand. Sportsmanship is not just about playing the game sincerely by following the rules of the game but also playing it with a spirit and accepting the results of the game with an open heart.
The rules of a sport not only teach us how to play the game but also how to apply these rules in real life. A true sportsman is the one that applies the principles of sports to real life. For example, respect for discipline is an essential part of sportsmanship. When we apply this principle of discipline to our real lives, it takes us to the path of success.
Another important principle of sportsmanship is team spirit. If a team wishes to win the match, the players should cooperate with each other or else they will lose. Similarly, if we wish to work for the progress of our nation, teamwork is essential. A single man cannot bring development to his/her country.
In short, sport and sportsmanship play a greater role in our lives. If both sports and sportsmanship are practised properly, it can bring a lot of positive changes in our lives.
Thank you all for listening to me.
Education
Very good morning to all of you. I am very delighted to present a short speech on the topic of "Education" today.
Education plays a very important role in our lives. Just like food is essential for your physical well-being, education is essential for our overall growth. It is important for our physical, mental well-being. It is necessary to achieve success in life.
Education gives us the confidence to move in society and it is the only and vital way to success as well as personal growth. But being well educated does not mean only receiving awards and certificates, getting a good salary but it also means to be a good and social person in life.
It makes us a better person by making us, correct decision-makers, right thinkers, provide a solution to all the problems, promotes good habits and awareness. Basically, we are incomplete without education.
It is so important that even our constitution has recognized it. Do you know, The constitution of Pakistan has recognized Education as a fundamental right? Our constitution states that the state shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of six to fourteen years.
The various social problems in our country can be solved with the help of education. For example, it can act as an important tool to eliminate poverty and unemployment from the country. It has the capability to bring any desired change and upliftment in the human mind and society.
We all sitting here are very lucky that we are in one of the best institutions in the country and getting educated from here.
Environmental Pollution
Good morning to Principal, our honourable chief guest, teachers, and my dear friends.
Today, I am going to speak on one of our greatest environmental concerns, environmental pollution.
Who is responsible for this? Sadly, it is us.
We are responsible for this environmental pollution as we are polluting our environment through the means of water, air, and land.
We are polluting the water by disposing of our garbage into it. We throw waste products into the water and then recycle the water to use it in daily life.
We are polluting the air too smoke emitting vehicles. We are using firecrackers endlessly during festivals celebrations and polluting the air we breathe.
We are cutting the trees too. They are the source of our oxygen and we are cutting them to build roads and houses.
Environmental pollution is an important concern for the world. Our country is also facing this problem. There is a high level of air pollution in cities like Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Kolkata, etc. This is also giving rise to various health diseases including breathing problems such as asthma, bronchitis, etc.
All irresponsible human activities need to be controlled. Also, it is the right time to take action before it’s too late.
We can help protect our environment in many ways. Plastic ban and use of odd and even number cars on certain days is a good initiative by the government.
There are more things which we can do at the individual level too. We can plant more and more trees. We can do carpooling to control air pollution. We can promote the use of recycling products.
The future of our environment is in our hands only. I would request you all to take the pledge to adopt positive initiatives to protect our environment.
Thank you all for lending me your ears.
