Future of Technology

Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I'll be giving a small speech on the topic of the "Future of Technology".

Technology is gaining more and more importance in our daily lives all over the world. This is no different in Pakistan.

The advent of technology has been increasing at a mammoth pace, the result of which is reflected in its growth in society. Over the last decade, electronic gadgets can be seen to have received major transformations. Our smartphones, for example, stand testimony to this fact. Why, the various upgraded models we are seeing every now and then these days are a far cry from the Nokia phones we once had! This upgradation can also be seen in other electronic devices such as TV, refrigerator, and A/C.

Now, post Covid-19 again, technology has become an intricate part of our lives. Life without our mobile phones, laptops, and earphones seems impossible. Yes, the future of technology in Pakistan is bright indeed!

Thank you.

Freedom is Precious

Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I'll be giving a short speech on the topic of "freedom is precious".

Freedom, more often than not, is earned through struggle and pain and ought to be cherished, it’s worth never to be forgotten.

Pakistan gained her freedom on the 14th of August, 1947. It was no easy task. It took years and years of struggle, tears, and pain under the tyranny of British rule. It took the courage, sweat, and blood of hundreds and thousands of patriotic citizens who fought against the oppression valiantly and did not fear to even give up their lives for the cause of the greater good. It took resistance on all ends, slowly building up to become a massive revolution enough to drive out the British.

It is the struggle of these brave Pakistanis who have made it possible for us to enjoy the liberty and freedom that we have today- to study, voice our opinions, and live independently.

Rejoice in this freedom!

Thank you.

Domestic Violence

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on Domestic Violence. Domestic violence is defined as violence and abuse that take place in a domestic environment, such as a marriage or cohabitation. It’s crucial to keep in mind that domestic abuse encompasses all behaviors intended to exert authority and control over the victim, not just physical ones. It primarily targets a spouse, partner, or close family member and can impact people from various walks of life.

A number of people die as a result of the horrifying crime of domestic violence. Illiteracy and financial dependence on males are two of the most frequent causes of domestic violence. It frequently happens that the abuser is either crazy or needs psychological help. Recognizing society’s hypocrisy and double standards is crucial.

Depending on the type of domestic violence occurring, domestic violence has a variety of negative repercussions. It might be sexual, emotional, physical, or even financially abusive. A physical abuser utilizes force that harms the victim or puts their life in danger. The abuser also refuses to give the victim medical attention. Threatening and intimidating the victim constitutes emotional abuse.

The major effects of domestic abuse are shown on people’s overall health and wellness. Because it results in physical harm, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, it deteriorates social skills and raises the risk that they’ll engage in health-harming behaviors like substance addiction or self-harm.

In conclusion, domestic violence can take many different forms, from physical aggression like biting and kicking to sexual or emotional abuse.

Hard Work

Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I'll be giving a short speech on the topic "Hard Work".

"Dream big", said A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Wise words, yes, but is dreaming big alone enough to make them come true?

Not quite. To actualize our dreams and aspirations, we must do more than build mere castles in the air. We must make efforts to make them come true, which is hard work.

Hard work, essentially, is the vigorous exertions we put in order to achieve our desired goal. Putting in mere work, of course, will never guarantee success. It is the extra mile that one goes that actually counts.

Thomas Edison, the renowned scientist, has said "There is no substitute for hard work." Indeed, hard work is the key to success in anyone's life.

Once the right opportunity presents itself, seize it. Never sit idly about waiting for it to put effort into itself and manifest into what you desire it to be!

Remember, hard work never fails.

Thank you.

Health and Hygiene

Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I'l be giving a short speech on the topic "Health and Hygiene".

Health and hygiene are two terms that go hand in hand.

According to Google, the term "health" is defined to be "the state of being free from illness or injury."

"Hygiene" is defined as "conditions or practices conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness."

Thus, as can be gleaned from the definitions, these terms are interconnected. Hygiene, in fact, acts as an agent for maintaining good health.

In this sense, there are three major types of hygiene to be maintained to remain healthy. First comes personal hygiene. Here, we have to keep our bodies completely clean to prevent diseases.

Secondly, we have environmental hygiene, which is crucial to keep our surroundings clean to prevent the breeding of diseases that could spread.

The last hygiene is food hygiene, which is crucial in not accidentally ingesting germs and causing diseases internally.

Be hygienic, be healthy.

Thank you.

Importance Of Reading

Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I'll be giving a short speech on the topic of the importance of reading.

For many passionate readers, reading is merely a hobby and a pleasurable pursuit. But, beyond that, reading has various benefits for our mind and body.

Joseph Addison has said, "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." Indeed, studies have proven that reading helps reduce stress and improve the mental well-being of a person. It has also been proven that reading improves the quality of one's sleep unless of course they get carried away by the book and read well into the night!

Reading also provides one with a lot of exposure to the outside world, a gateway to knowledge opened through the pages of books. Fantasy books, in particular, have proven to enhance creativity in a child as well.

"There is no friend as loyal as a book", said Ernest Hemingway.

Cultivate the habit of reading today!

Thank you.

How To Make Pakistan A Prosperous Country

Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I'll be giving a short speech on the topic of how to make Pakistan a prosperous country.

Pakistan has always been viewed to be a country filled with potential. Yet, it has yet to actualize it thus far. In fact, an article from the World Bank reveals that "For the past two decades, Pakistan' growth rate has been only half that of India and China. If current trends continue, by 2050, India's economy will be 40 times larger than Pakistan's, and China's economy a 100 times."

To keep up, Pakistan ought to use its resources to their full potential. Agriculture, trade, and industry must be redefined to compete globally so as to boost the GDP of its economy. Pakistan's low literacy rate and lack of quality education have to be eradicated. The government and private organizations should pave the way for an inclusive, innovative, and secure society to make Pakistan developed and prosperous.

Thank you.

House and Home

Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I'll be giving a small speech on the topic "house and home".

"House" and "Home" are two terms that are often confused with each other. However, there exists a vast difference between the two.

According to Google, the term "house" is defined to be "a building for human habitation, especially one that consists of a ground floor and one or more upper storeys." An altered simplified definition states that a house is any space that provides "shelter or accommodation".

Thus, "house", simply put, could mean any space that is used to reside. In this sense, any external space could become a house easily, making it impersonal.

Home, on the other hand, is defined as "the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household." It is, essentially, a space that is personal and has an emotional connection to it.

That is why, they say, "Home is where the heart lies."

Thank you.
