My Dream Job

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "My Dream Job".

Google defines a job to be "a task or piece of work, especially one that is paid." But, to me, a job is so much more than that! At least, it ought to be.

I want the job I pursue to give me a sense of satisfaction and happiness. Money alone is not my priority.

Hence, my dream job is to become a teacher. Not just any teacher but a Math teacher in Government schools.

Being in Pakistan, it is no secret that Government schools are seen as par in comparison to schools run by private organizations. I wish to do away with this perspective.

I want to provide good quality education to the children in such schools and help them for their right future. Through this dream job of mine, I want to make a change for the future generation!

Thank you.

My Ambition in Life

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "My Ambition in Life".

Google defines the term "ambition" to be "a strong desire to do or achieve something." In this sense, an ambition is any goal or aspiration that we all have and wish to actualize.

Again, an ambition needn't necessarily be a job. My ambition in life is, in fact, to be of service to society and turn it for the better.

We all are aware of the various problems prevalent in society today. We have gender-related issues, caste problems, environmental problems, poverty related issues and so on. Help is required by those affected by social disadvantages everywhere.

It is thus my ambition to be a small contribution to society and help solve some of these issues and be of help to people. I want to take up social work as my major in college and take it up professionally one day!

Thank you.

Hiroshima Day

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on Hiroshima Day. Harry S. Truman, the United States president at the time, made a choice 71 years ago. He made the decision to wage nuclear war on Japan, with whom they were at war. Ironically, a choice was made that resulted in the death of thousands of people in the name of rescuing thousands of lives from the never-ending battle. Hiroshima Day honors the events of August 6, 1945, when an atomic bomb was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima and another one was dropped on Nagasaki.

The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the US and Japan essentially brought an end to World War II, albeit at a horrific cost. The two cities were demolished, and it is estimated that 200,000 people died as a result of injuries and sickness, most of them civilians. Around the world, antiwar and nuclear disarmament movements gained strength.

Hiroshima Day is currently a focal point for anti-war and anti-nuclear talks and demonstrations, even if the argument over the US choice to bomb remains. Japan emerged from the ruins thanks to the people’s collective vision, commitment, and labor, and it now has the third largest economy in the world. The day serves as a reminder to all of us of the irony of murdering thousands to save thousands, the horrible destruction caused by war, and the necessity and significance of world peace and harmony in the modern era.

So friends, let’s all take a pledge today that we will always cooperate to disseminate the message of respect for one another, peace, and harmony and that we will never support acts of violence.

History And Legends

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on history and legends. History is defined as the actions and events from the past that have significantly altered this world. This should be the ideal explanation of the term “history,” in my opinion. Mythologies are another name for legends. I would assert that legends are names given to well-known ancient tales. They could be untrue rumors or actual facts.

Legend and history have a close relationship. The historians are simply regular folks. They aren’t a deity. They can examine the historical objects discovered. However, they cannot be absolutely certain that all the events they depict are real. Legends refer to those occurrences about which people are unsure whether they are factual or not. As a result, there is a strong connection between history and folklore.

Legends and history are two concepts that work well together since each legend has a unique history that details his or her past and any other facts about them. History contains many legends who have performed various amazing exploits. There are also some historically significant hidden personalities, such as Quaid-e-Azam, who fought for Pakistan’s independence and dedicated his entire life to achieve it peacefully. The legend of Quaid-e-Azam’s past, as well as his life and the sacrifices he made, are known to people today, and even young children are taught about Quaid-e-Azam’s history in their courses. The mythology and its background may be forgotten by people, but because it is passed down through the stories that people tell, it will always exist. Thank you.

Movies

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of movies.

We all grab a movie with our friends and family every now and then. But, have we ever stopped to wonder about how exactly we define a movie?

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the term movie to be "a recording of moving images that tells a story and that people watch on a screen or television: motion picture."

This definition seems almost clinical in nature, doesn't it? In reality, movies happen to mean so much more to us.

Watching movies predominantly is for entertainment purposes and gaining pleasure out of it, yes. But, more than that, movies also become a major influence in our lives, either consciously or unconsciously.

We learn a lot from movies about various cultures, practices, ideas, and so on. Good films even motivate us and steer us positively. However, developing an unhealthy obsession with movies, especially ones that promote negativity, is unhealthy.

Thank you.

Motivation

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of motivation.

Google defines the term motivation to be "a reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way."

This definition is rather inadequate. Motivation is not just to reason to act in a certain way but the driving force behind it. Without motivation, it would be impossible to attain individual aspirations.

Motivation thus also becomes a sort of desire – and willingness- to achieve our goals. It helps us to never give up and doggedly go behind what we want most. It makes it possible for us to work hard and not be deterred by failures and regrets. Motivation thus makes us get past obstacles and hurdles and gives us the power to succeed in life.

Here is a motivational quote by John Steinbeck for you: "And now that you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good."

Motivate yourselves!

Thank you.

Hurricanes

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on hurricanes. Hurricanes could be regarded as one of nature’s most potent forces because they have the ability to wreak a great deal of devastation in a short period of time. A hurricane is a 200- to 300-mile-diameter whirling storm of strong winds. Hurricanes occur over a region of low pressure that develops over tropical oceans, either in the northern Atlantic Ocean or the northernmost Pacific Ocean. Typhoons are the name given to hurricanes in the western Pacific Ocean, while cyclones are the name given to them in the Indian Ocean.

The Atlantic Ocean, a region of low pressure that develops over the ocean, is the primary source of hurricanes. The eye of the storm, which is a quiet area with a diameter of roughly 20 miles with little wind and cloud cover, is where the winds spiral. The majority of the strongest rain falls inside the wall clouds, which are the storm clouds around the hurricane’s eye. On each side of the equator, hurricanes often begin in latitudes 5 to 30 degrees north or south. The hurricane’s eye moves over the land at a speed of 10 to 15 miles per hour on average. Because hurricanes require the warm sea to provide energy to them through evaporation, the storm becomes weaker as it crosses land.

One of nature’s most potent weapons is the hurricane. A hurricane produces an average of 1.6X 1013 kilowatt hours in a day, which is 8000 times more energy than the whole amount of electricity produced in the US in a single day. This is the same as 500000 20-kiloton atomic bomb explosions occurring every day. Thank you.

The Impact Of Social Media On Youth

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on the impact of social media on youth. Social media plays a significant role in everyone’s life today, particularly for today’s kids. They are affected both favorably and unfavorably by it. On social networking platforms, making friends is simpler. Technology has altered how friends are made in general. It enables young people to establish friends anywhere in the world and communicate with them anytime and for as long as they like. Even video chatting is now cost-free. A social media platform like Facebook has made it possible to instantly connect with long-lost pals. Indeed, extroverts, introverts, students, penpals, and all sociable teenagers have benefited from social media.

Social networking sites not only allow everyone to get in touch with old friends, but it also helps them develop a new network of friends and other contacts. Friendship teaches young people empathy, a feeling crucial to their development into adults. After school, socializing also help kids unwind mentally and supports them in overcoming challenges.

Social media, on the other hand, can harm young people as well. These sites regularly receive numerous hours of youth time from them in the form of photographs, post updates, and map updates. It makes them simple to locate and can let criminals carry out heinous acts of violence including murder, kidnapping, and stalking. Unacceptable content sharing and privacy breaches can result from an irresponsible activity. The correct use of social media and the internet requires the implementation of serious protection and education. Thank you.
