Adventure
Good morning respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. Today on this special occasion, I stand in front of you to speak on the topic – Adventure.
Adventure refers to exciting activity or an unusual experience. Such experiences are often of a daring and risky nature. Many people like having an adventure in their lives. They believe where there is no risk, there is no gain. They love the thrill factor in adventurous activities.
Ballooning is a sport that I would like to go for one day. It is a costlier one. There is an element of risk too because of the change of weather and balloons filled with helium prone to lightening and leaks.
I want to experience the thrill of rising high into the sky without the drone of an engine and with the advantage of controlling the direction. How adventurous it would be, I think sometimes.
Another adventurous activity that is worth trying is trekking. It is an adventure of trying to climb the highest and steepest mountains never climbed before.
Going on an adventure is power-packed with a lot of benefits. It helps you make new like-minded friends with a new learning experience. You meet people from various cultures and backgrounds doing the same activity that you love.
It is also good for relaxation. It may give you goosebumps initially but when you complete it, it gives a lot of confidence and pleasure with some relaxation too. It teaches you how to stay cool under pressure.
It keeps you focused on. Adventure demands a lot of focus as it has thrill and risk involved. It improves your concentration this way.
It brings you better health as most of the adventure is done outdoors in the fresh air. A mixture of little exercise, enjoyment, and fresh air gives a boost to mental health.
In the end, I would like to say that adventure is good. We all should go for it at least once in our lifetime.
Thank you.
Save Tiger
Good morning! Respected Principal, teachers and my dear companions, I stand before you to speak on the topic – Save Tiger. Perhaps the most beautiful of God’s creations are the birds and animals of the world. And among the most ferocious of these, is the proud tiger.
Tiger is a wild animal found in deep forests, wildlife centuries and now in zoos as well. They are helpful in maintaining the ecosystem as they are carnivorous in nature.
But it is really sad to say, that we are only left with few. Saving them is the only option left.
As hunting of tigers was a favourite pastime for kings. Tigers started decreasing in number. The truth is that they are on the verge of extinction. They are also becoming less in number due to deforestation because people cut down trees to fulfil their needs but they often forget that they are destroying the habitat of many.
Saving them has become a matter of concern for many parts of the world. If the tigers go extinct the whole system will be disturbed. The need of the hour is that such beautiful and royal species should be preserved and protected if we don't want to hear them in stories like dinosaurs.
We as students should also help the government in spreading awareness among people and also work towards protecting our environment. A proper check on tigers should be done in both forests and zoos by the government. Tigers are one of a kind, so please keep them in mind.
Thank you.
Technology How it is useful for Humankind
Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friend. A wonderful morning to all of you. Today when we all have gathered on this special day, I would like to speak on the topic – Technology– How is it useful for humankind.
Technology is indeed a boon for mankind. Today, it has become an integral part of our day to day lives for each one of us. If you really want to know how important technology is, just to think about spending one day without a phone, tablet, computer or a laptop, video games, etc.
Can you live without all of them for a day? I don't think so. They have made our lives so easy that now we cannot imagine our lives without them.
Technology is useful in many ways. Internet facility in our homes or our phone has made the world barrier-free. We can chat with a person from another country instantly while sitting in our own country with the help of the internet. Bygone are those days when we use to write letters to talk to each other.
Technology makes the news available to us with the touch of a button. We don't need to wait for a newspaper or a particular Television show to know what is happening around the world.
Technology is also responsible for growth in different working sectors. For example, the agriculture sector. Steam tractor technology has contributed to the growth of the agriculture sector.
Advancement in medical technology can also be not ignored. For example, laser surgeries, stem cell transplants, remote surgery, etc are some of the positive and life-saving contributions of technology to humankind.
In the end, it is solely responsible for the growth of humankind but it should be used cautiously as it has become a man's addiction too.
Thank you for lending me your ears.
World Literacy Day
Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. Very good morning to all of you. We all have gathered here to celebrate World literacy day and I would like to speak some words on world literacy day.
World literacy day is celebrated on 8th September every year. It marks the international celebration and awareness campaign on literacy. In 1964, this day was declared as a holiday by the United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
UNESCO with the help of various literacy programs aims to create a literate world and promote literacy for all. UNESCO has stated the importance of literacy. It states that it is a human right, a tool of personal empowerment, and a means for social and human development.
Our educational opportunities depend on literacy. Literacy is at the heart of basic education for all. It is also important to eradicate poverty, to reduce child mortality, to curb population growth, etc. These are some of the good reasons why literacy is at the core of Education for all.
The main purpose of celebrating this world literacy day is to encourage awareness among people about literacy so that everyone knows about their individual and social rights. It is as important as food to live.
UNESCO decided to celebrate this day with a goal to remove various social problems including poverty, gender inequality, uncontrollable population growth, etc.
So today I would request you all to celebrate this day with a positive spirit. You can celebrate this day by donating a book, by visiting a library, by teaching an unfortunate child, etc.
Lastly, I would like you all to stand up and take the pledge on this literacy day, we learn, we teach, we inspire, to make our future full of knowledge and success.
Thank you all for listening to me patiently.
Honesty is the Best Policy
Good morning! Respected Principal, teachers and my dear companions. I stand before u speak on the topic – honesty is the best policy.
As the proverb says honesty is regarded as one of the best tools to achieve anything in life. However, these days honesty is believed to be a hindrance in achieving success quickly. In today's world honesty, is a rare quality.
Many people have started using unfair means to achieve success in life. However, they often forget that what they achieve through unfair means doesn't last long; it is merely for a short period of time. The seeds of dishonesty reap a bitter harvest. Therefore, in the long run, honesty is the best policy.
As good habits are essential for a person to lead a disciplined life, honesty stands along with it. Besides being a virtue that should be practiced, we should never forget that it is appreciated by all walks of society.
As it is rightly said by William Shakespeare, no legacy is so rich as honesty. It is always said that one should always speak the truth this way we don't have to remember what we said. An honest person is always confident, whereas one lie gives birth to several more.
As parents are the first teacher in a child's life. They should teach them to be honest all the time even if they are wrong. Being honest since childhood stays with us when we grow up and enable us to become better human beings and good citizens.
No individual should encourage lie, instead one should help others to speak the truth. We all can change society by being honest and positive.
In the end, I would like to say, my dear friends no matter how hard or bad a situation is one must always say the truth because the truth always wins over lies.
Thank you.
