Bad Manners

Manners are some rules of behaving in a society. They guide the habits and ways of living of people. Manners can be bad or good which depend on the way they affect society.

Bad Manners are those which affects others who are around in a bad way. It can annoy or anger people and so they are not accepted by them. There are many behavior or habits which are considered as bad. Using abusive language is one of them. Such language has bad meanings and it is very insulting and rude for others.

Being unkind to one's youngers and elders is also a bad manner. We must respect our elders and we must set a good example for our youngers. Not covering the mouth while sneezing and coughing, being unhygienic are also bad manners. Other bad manners are wasting food, making fun of others, speaking a lie, speaking while eating, speaking in between and not being helpful to others.

Bad manners affect others and also the person who has it. People do not like to be with any bad-mannered person and so such a person becomes alone. One loses many good opportunities in life because of one's habits. It affects one's studies because one loses self- confidence. Such people get a bad image and wherever they go, others start to dislike them even before meeting them.

Bad manners can be corrected if the parents tell their children about manners on time. They must tell the children how bad manners will affect them. Children should not be scolded or beaten up but they should be taught politely. There should be a period in school which teach children about good manners.

Bad manners may not affect in the beginning but it affects a person in the long term. It can only be corrected on time when one has not made them a habit.

My Grandparents

My grandparents were certainly the blessing in disguise for me whose absence still makes me feel go crazy sometimes.

Usually, for kids, it is their parents who serve each and every need of their children but for me, like some more other kids, it was my grandparents who took their role of parenting to another level by playing both the mother and father to me after the demise of my parents.

I still feel like their position is irreplaceable in my life as they perfectly played the role of the person I needed most during the time. They were always ready to welcome me with their open arms even if I committed some mistake, though they would later on make me realize and correct my mistake like dotting caretakers.

I so wish them to be with me throughout my life but they had to leave for their heavenly abode after getting me prepared to face the life with rough and tough homework.

HIV AIDS

One of the deadliest and most destructive ailments that has gripped human society is the pandemic known as AIDS. The disease itself is a retro-viral disease with its pathogen known as HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus.

In this, the pathogen is able to utilize the patient's body for its own survival (parasite) and reproduction resulting in the patient's own body and immunity starts to falters (especially the white blood cells known as T-Cells).

However, HIV does not mean AIDS always as many HIV patients can take the help of medicines and stay HIV positive.

The biggest reason for the massive spread of the disease is due to its ease of transmission. Among its various modes of transmission, the most pertinent is through body fluids like blood.

Many a time unscreened or not properly screened blood is transfused into patients which results in HIV transmission. Multiple uses of syringes etc. is another such mode.

Another mode is through a pregnant mother into her unborn child. It becomes especially dangerous in second and later terms (for the fetus/child). The spread can also materialize post-birth through breast milk.

The third and probably the easiest one to avoid is through unprotected sexual activity. The threat of this disease can be traced by its difficult to identify symptoms.

Most of the early symptoms are that of the common flu with joint pains, fever, a period of chills and profuse sweating, glandular infection, tiredness, and sudden weight loss, etc.

After the disease has progressed, there are more severe symptoms like diarrhea, etc. However, the most lethal is Tuberculosis which causes the most HIV related deaths.

The sad reality is that there exists no cure for AIDS. The progression can be slowed or stopped by anti-retro-viral drugs and therapy. This can significantly enhance the quality and longevity of the patient. However, there is no absolute remedy for the disease.

Even more difficult than physical destruction is the psychological blow that is dealt with by anyone who is diagnosed with such a condition. This is down to the misunderstanding and social stigma attached to HIV/AIDS.

Herein lies the biggest threat of HIV and must be addressed and corrected to help give the people with the disease a fighting a chance.
