Joy of Giving

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of the "Joy of Giving".

The joy of giving to others, be it friends, family, or people who are in need of help is unparalleled by another other joy. A verse in Bible shows Jesus saying, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Giving is an act that arises out of kindness and benevolence. The joy that is thus received from it is one that is pure and will improve one's overall mental health significantly. Even in the Hindu context, it can be seen that one must always give to others as Karna had.

There is another verse from the Bible that beautifully brings out the joy of giving. It goes "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

True joy lies in giving, not taking!

Thank you.

Light

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "light".

There are several definitions for the word light. Let us try to look at some of them.

The first definition, as given by Google, would be, "the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible." This perhaps is the most obvious definition of light wherein any form that provides a reprieve from darkness is considered to be a source of light. Some examples would be the Sun, the most major source of light, fire, tubelights, bulbs, flashlights, and torches.

The above definition is for light as a noun. Here, "traffic lights" for example are a symbol of regulations.

As a verb, to light would be the act of lighting, say fire. As an adjective, light could denote a shade of colour, as in light pink or light blue. Or, it could be an adjective to describe a place well ventilated- say, a "light room".

Thank you.

Life Without Internet

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of life without internet.

A life without the internet sounds absurd, does it not? Why, it sounds nothing short of impossible!

In today's world, next to nothing could be done without the usage of the internet. Whatsapp, Instagram, and Twitter are a few applications that run on the usage of the internet without which we cannot imagine life today!

Alright, let us forget these luxuries for a moment. Even aside from them, the internet is crucial in one's life. From the very jobs people are now employed in, education post COVID-19, banking and finance, shopping, gathering news about the happenings of the world, travel, and, entertainment internet is there in almost each and every aspect of life!

Simply put, life without the internet, in today's times, is not possible to even imagine for the internet has now become an inextricable part of our lives.

Thank you.

Life Skills

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "Life Skills".

Google defines the term "life skills" to be "a skill that is necessary or desirable for full participation in everyday life."

Life skills involve a wide range of skills that help an individual live life well. Of course, it pertains to more than basic survival skills. It involves other important skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, the ability to manage emotional, financial, and health- especially mental health- aspects of life efficiently, and the ability to have good interpersonal and communication skills. These skills are crucial, especially in adults. They help one to be both independent and self-sufficient.

In recognition of the importance of life skills, it has now been made into a subject that is taught in both schools and colleges mandatorily in order to make students aware of them right from a young age.

Thank you.

Leadership

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of "Leadership".

Google defines the term "leadership" to be "the action of leading a group of people or an organization." Alternatively, it also refers to "the state or position of being a leader."

Leadership is very important in one's life, whether they themselves lead or happen to be the one led. Good leadership is the key to a good, successful life in both of these cases.

A good leader is one who can make wise, strong decisions that would be beneficial, whatever the field of work that may be. Only good leadership leads to productive work, one that is not only effective but also efficient. John Maxwell, in fact, says "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way."

Aspiring to be a leader thus involves honing good leadership skills that aim to lead and inspire.

Thank you.

Happiness

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on happiness. The word “happy” refers to a positive mental attitude. Happiness may mean different things to different people. Some people could view prosperity and financial success as happy things. Others, however, emphasize that happiness requires excellent health. Others could be content with honorable professions and stellar reputations. Others might think that true happiness stems from being at peace with oneself and in harmony with the All-Powerful.

A positive individual will always be content. Such a person has a strong faith that everything that happens is for the best. A person who is happy doesn’t need other people or outside influences to make him happy. Even in the worst circumstances, he will be able to maintain his happiness. The only way to truly find happiness is to seek unity with the Almighty.

One needs to be thankful to God for all the gifts he has given us in order to be happy. A person who is thankful finds joy in even the little things in life. We can only truly be happy when we understand our unity with God. The four main components of happiness are optimism, self-awareness, gratitude, and contentment.

As a result, one must first understand what true happiness is in order to be happy. Otherwise, a person would spend their entire life seeking happiness. Furthermore, we shouldn’t hold off on happiness until a specific occasion. Every moment of life should be cherished. You shouldn’t let other people or outside factors affect your level of happiness. How joyful you are is entirely up to you. Thank you.

Hacking

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on hacking. Hacking is the attempt to gain access to a computer’s internal private network or system. To put it simply, it is the unauthorized use of computer network security systems or the control over them for illegal purposes.

One must first comprehend hackers in order to more accurately define hacking. They are easily assumed to be intelligent and very knowledgeable about computers. In fact, it takes more knowledge and skill to defeat a security system than it does to build one. Hackers cannot be neatly divided into groups according to any absolute standards.

However, we refer to them as white hats, black hats, and gray hats in standard computer jargon. White hat hackers test their own security systems to make them more hack-resistant. They typically belong to the same organization. Black hat hackers attempt to take over the system in order to benefit themselves. They have the power to damage, take, or even stop the system from being used by authorized users. They accomplish this by identifying weak points and loopholes in the system.

Instead of calling them hackers, some computer specialists call them crackers. Grey hat hackers are intrepid individuals with just enough knowledge of computer programming to break into a system and look for potential security gaps in the network. Black hats and gray hats are different in that the former alert the administrator of the network system about vulnerabilities found in the system, but the latter is just interested in personal benefit. All forms of hacking are illegal, with the exception of work done by white hat hackers. Thank you.

Malnutrition

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of malnutrition.

Google defines the term malnutrition to be "lack of proper nutrition, caused by not having enough to eat, not eating enough of the right things, or being unable to use the food that one does eat." Malnourishment thus is the state of being not properly nourished and suffering from malnutrition.

Studies point out that more than 1 million people are malnourished in Pakistan. Yemen is noted to be the most malnourished nation in the world as of 2022.

Broadly, malnourishment can be divided into 4 categories. They are wasting, stunting, underweight, and deficiencies in vitamins and minerals.

From this, it can be understood that malnourishment arises as a result of a poor diet. Lack of balanced meals, especially in children, can thus cause malnourishment which in turn results in several diseases including stunted growth, eye problems, diabetes, and heart disease.

Thank you.
